Who am I?
I am a software developer in his forties.
Father of two.
And yes, I may, sometimes, be as boring as this description.
Where do I live?
I live in France near this red dot between Bordeaux and the Arcachon Bay.
The area is a great place for walking in the forest, dining on
the beach, and kayaking on the lake.
The server
This website runs on this small home server I built.
The hardware includes a small Ryzen 5 CPU, some RAM bought on LeBonCoin, and an old SSD
disk.
All of which fits in a mini-ITX case in my living room.
Hybrid architecture
I chose a hybrid architecture, where the mandatory core features
of the website are hosted on Cloudflare as static pages.
The optional and more elaborated features are hosted on the home server that is shutdown during
the
night to save resources
